Dan Hanover runs the largest network of experiential marketing content in the world. He is best known as founding editor of Event Marketer magazine (eventmarketer.com), the leading publication serving event marketing executives in the United States.
Since launching the flagship magazine and companion Event Marketing Summit conference in 2002, he has launched Event Design magazine for creative directors and fabricators, Best Events magazine for special event and meeting planners, EXPO magazine for trade show organizers and the Event Marketing Institute, an online thinktank providing research and tools for marketers (eventmarketing.com).

Andrew studied materials science and has a doctorate in engineering. An Internet pioneer, he was a partner at Grey Matter and worked for the world’s largest digital media company in 2000 – marchFirst in New York City. His extensive awards experience includes working with the One Club, the Art Directors Club and the London International Advertising Awards. He has been managing South Africa’s leading brand communication awards, the Loeries, since 2005.
Andrew was voted 2007 Advertising Industry Person of the Year by ‘The Annual’ and 2008 AdReview Advertising Person of the Year. He has judged the Epica Awards in Paris, the Gecko Advertising Awards in Namibia, the Footprint Marketing Awards, the AdReview awards, and chaired the Business and Arts South Africa panel. He is also the editor of Migrate magazine, and a co-founder of ididthatad.com.
