SERVICES EXECUTED

  1. Radio Media execution – Weekly Dj shows, interviews and Radio spots on both Urban and Community Radio (6 stations).

  2. National TV – 10 min documentary that aired every two weeks on ZNBC showcasing the weekly draws held and prize giving to winners Print – Quarter page insert in the Time of Zambia Newspaper publishing all winners that won Fuel for a Year, Month and Weekly.

  3. Outdoor – 3 static billboards that we hoisted in Lusaka and Kitwe advertising the promotion

  4. Digital – 12 x week Social media content management on the Vivo Energy Zambia – FB page driving awareness of the promotion, publishing of draws and winners as well as running of competitions of their media platform.

  5. Live activations the Engen service station outlets for 8 weeks providing entry mechanics to customers, recruitment and participation into the promotion and weekly draws.

  6. Branding production and dispatch to all 40 x service stations Nationwide – Site banners, Coupons, Coupon boxes, Flyers, Tshirts, Bibs Etc.

THE CHALLENGE

Engen service stations wanted to kickstart marketing activities for their Brand post partial lockdown of the country due to the C19 pandemic. Over the years, competing brands have been on the rise and Vivo Energy Zambia needed to re-establish their presence in the market of the Fuel and Lubricant offering through the vast network of 31 x stations countrywide.

THE SOLUTION

A sales promotion idea that had already been developed, but required a capable agency to execute the campaign details across different media channels for awareness, visibility and consumer participation.

Exp provided an end to end Live + service for the 12 x week campaign across 31 x different sites nationwide.

WHAT WAS ACHIEVED

  • Just over 54,000 consumers were engaged through the activations over the campaign period.

  • A little more than 200,000 participating entry coupons were collected for the promotion.

  • 120 winners were drawn and received prizes.

  • 67 posts published on the Vivo Energy Zambia FB page, with page likes growing from 4.5k to 5.8k.

  • Media total reach approx. 5M across all stations through 557 Radio slots on 6 radio stations, 9 DJ programs, 6 Tv shows on ZNBC and 6 print slots in Times of Zambia.
